CM21 - Capacity Planning

Hello all,

I am using for the first time the transaction CM21 and I have some question/doubts that I hope you can answer me.

- When I dispatch the orders, some orders are overlapped, what does it mean? (picture nº 1)

- Whats does it mean the green line under the orders in the work center pool? (picture nº 1)

- How do I know how much capacity I have left in the work centre? The capacity is per week?

- In this transaction is it possible to to know the most optimized way to the leveling of the orders? For exemple: I have 10 machines and I need to produce 400 units. The most optimized way is using 4 machines to produce this 400 units and use the other 6 to produce something else. Is this possible?

Hello,
- The orders are overlapped orders. This can be controler with the master data of the routing by selecting the option no overlapping in the Operartion.
- The green line means that you have at least two operations at the same work center at the same time.
- To have the most optimized way you will need to use setup matrix or define at least a profile for the dispatch, but that is a very complex configuration.

Hello

Have you checked the flag "can be used by several operations" in your work center capacity? In this case, you can dispatch several operations into the same time bucket.
