How is Configurable Material done in C4C?

Hi Experts

Background: Client had S4HANA implemented during Phase 1, where they activated configurable material. Now in Phase 2, C4C needs to be implemented and integrated to S4HANA such that it can accommodate the configurable material part.

Further info: Configurable material, as explained by the Phase 1 team is for a material code, various combinations of attributes can be achieved. See below sample.

How can this be achieved in C4C sales? We need solid confirmation from SAP if this can be done via standard C4C sales or via other tool e.g. CPQ.

As per my review to C4C product maintenance capability, it does not support configurable product as standalone.

Hello Denmar,

In C4C, you dont have configurable material concept. Only Material/Product as a whole or as a part or as a service etc can be replicated from S4HANA to C4C.

I have the same requirement to implement quotation in SAP Sales Cloud (C4C). Is it possible to connect C4C with SAP CPQ? Is there any standard integration between the two?

Hello jasonmelo,

Yes we offer standard integration content between C4C & CPQ so that you can use configurable materials directly on CPQ screen embedded in C4C Quote view. Also CPQ can be connected to your S4 system to replicate the configurable materials from S4 to CPQ and can be used in C4C Quote process. Check this link for documentation.
