Hi All,
in one of the thread i read that in locockpit if we have a field available in
application tables but no available in Extractstructure we can just appened it to
the communication structure and can drag it to the extractstructure maintaince window
without having to write any user exit.
am i right.
so if we have that functionality for locockpit
then what about other application areas like FI, CO, EC,
becoz i want a field in my datasource which is already available in application table
do i need to write a user exit to populate it r else can i jus append them and leave it.
thanks and regards

dear Neel,
how are you doing ?
lo-cockpit->you are right.
FI,CO,EC, for field that exist in application table that used for extraction e.g BSID, BSIK, you can add the field without user exit coding, but still you need to go with 'append structure' and add new field with name exactly same with field in the table (without prefix zz...).
hope it's clear.

Hi Sat,
thanks for your time,
so u mean to say we can't just add the field to the extract structure and get data but definetly we have to write a user exit right.
so this functionality of just adding the field when that field is available in application table but not available in extract structure is only for LO cockpit.
am i right
thanks
neel
