How to configure Email notification for solution documentation in Solman 7.2

Hello Gurus,

How can I setup email trigger when the status of a design review document is changed from one status to the other (Review --> Approved)?

This is in Solution Documentation/Solman 7.2.

I read somewhere ...that this can be achieved using custom code (not CCLM) but not sure how.
