Business area /cost center issue in Time dependent tab in asset master

Hi Experts,

I am facing an issue in asset accounting. We have two cost centers assinged under asset master with different business areas and different time intervals like below.

From. BusA Cost Center Plant Location

01.05.2019 0025 0002 A AC

01.01.1900 0010 0001 A AB

We have also assinged investment order under ORIGIN tab with business area 0025.

Now once we call transaction AS02, its shows an error AA917 "Business area 0025 in order is not an asset business area 0010(Correct)"

Normally business area 0010 is not more valid and should not be checked anymore. We have actual business area 0025 which is identical with business area in investment order (BA 0025) .

Can someone please let me know ,how to overcome this issue ?

Which ECC/ERP version are you using? There is an old note to address this problem https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/804977 but it is over 10 years old

Hi Tammy,

Thanks for your feedback.

We are using SAP_APPL 618 and above stated note does not match with us.
