An Internal error occurred while calling ‘getBlobInfos’ API. (Error: ERR_WIS__30270)(Error: INF)

Dear All,

I am trying to open a webi document and I am getting the below error intermittently and I am not sure what might be causing this?
An Internal error occurred while calling ‘getBlobInfos’ API. (Error: ERR_WIS__30270)(Error: INF)

I have logged into the server and have gone through the web intelligence server log file and this is what I have come across -

ERROR: BlobManagerImpl: Invalid blob id

ERROR: BlobManagerImpl: GetBlogInfosNoOpen failed

ERROR: CTSessionImpl: coreEngine:: getBlobInfos failed

Please help.

PS: I don’t get the error all the time. It’s very intermittent, even after encountering the error I am still able to refresh the document.

Hi Jon Snow,

Can you try restarting your Webi processing server real time cache

Please check SAP Note: 2245676, 2075567, 1837328 & below,

Hi,

I just wanted to get to the bottom of this before restarting the server. I may loose an opportunity to discover what is causing the issue. I was hoping if there was a way to find out the root cause for this

Hi Jon Snow,

Did you get a chance to compare your system details with the SAP Notes

Thanks,

Kaushik

Unfortunately I don’t have access to SAP ID to check those notes

Hi Jon Snow,

Are you doing this on a trial/dummy system? You can ask your organisation BASIS guys also to download & the Notes to you for you to read

Thanks,

Kaushik

It depends on the content of your WebI report.

Is your report saved with data?

Is the report set to refresh when opened?

Which BI version do you have?

1) yes, the report is saved with data

2) refresh on open is disabled

3) 4.2 SP6

i am not able to replicate this issue on any other report. I am copying the same report to another location and the report opens up just fine on all occurrences without any errors

then the problem with the content. (You may be using a damaged or missing image.)

The report doesn’t have any images. Also the report throws an error one moment and it doesn’t the next moment.
