Solution Manager installed on different database than the ERP, will there be any legal issue

Dear SAP Guru,

I have a question regarding Solution Manager installation.

My Company's SAP Landscape installed on Linux / Oracle.

We have Maintenance contract and Can we install Solution Manager 7.2 on Linux / SAP ASE on our Landscape?

Will there be any issue from legal perspective (Certificate) ?

Hi Lalan,

SAP ASE is a complimentary database offered by SAP and any use of SAP ASE will be free for sure. You will not be violating any of your licensing protocols.
