Crystal reports 9 and Windows Server 2012

Hi,

We have a really old classic asp application which uses crystal reports 9(decisions?) on windows 2003. We are now migrating to Windows 2012. Per my research i understand that CR9 is no longer available to install nor supported. It would take good amount of efforts to re-write the code as well. What are our options for this combination?

Tech involved: Classic ASP, Crystal reports 9, Windows 2012 and p2sodbc.dll

If you have the original install disks for the Developer edition of Crystal 9, the runtime install should be available there. However, there is no guarantee that it will work on newer versions of Windows. Also, if the server is 64-bit, you'll need to make sure you're running the application in a 32-bit application pool. If you can get it up and running as is, you'll need to make plans for upgrading the application to either Java or .NET so that you can use the more recent version of Crystal as this old version certainly won't work in Windows Server 2016.
