In SAP R/3 there is an "Equipment Structure List". If you go to IE03 (Display Equipment) and bring up an equipment record then click on the "Structure List" icon you will see a structure that shows the Functional Location of this equipment record and all the other locations/equipment associated to it.
Has anyone been able to replicated this structure in BW? I know it is a hierarchy and I know I could manually create a flat file for the hierarchy and upload it but there are hundreds of thousands of equipment records in our system and it is not feasible to do it manually.
I appreciate any help.

Barbara,
There are standard business content for Equipment and Functional Locations. Goto RSA6 and check in PM tree node expand PM-IO, you will see
0EQUIPMENT_ATTR, 0EQUIPMENT_TEXT & 0EQUIPMENT_HIER, 0FUNCT_LOC_ATTR, 0FUNCT_LOC_TEXT & 0FUNCT_LOC_HIER.
If this is what you are looking for. If you are unable to see them in RSA6, then install business content for PM.

Yes we have all of the standard business content activated and loaded. I'm trying to create the Equipment Structure list which is a hierarchy of sorts that shows the relationship between Functional Location and all of the individual equipment records that are assigned to the functional location. Somehow I need the assignment of this relationship to create the structure.
Thanks for your suggestion though.
