Currently we having PI 7.4 adapter engine(JAVA) SP 4 Patch 0 version and planning to upgrade PO 7.5 with latest SP and patches.
Current environment:
PI Adapter engine(JAVA)-->7.4 SP 08 patch 0
SQL DB-->2012
windows Platform-->2012
Kernel Version 7.40 patch 3301.
Upgrading PI adapter engine 7.4 (JAVA) to PO 7.5 will be an single step through SUM, Is it i'm right ? or any other method do i need to followup to achieve the PO upgrade?
Note: Before upgrade the PI 7.4 to PO 7.5, i'll upgrade the SQL DB and windows OS to 2016 from 2012 version.
Regards
Selva
If you're currently on 7.4 with AEX (that is Advanced Adapter Engine Extended) and are on Java only than upgrading should be a "one step" procedure. This should be fairly straighforward. We've done the same from 7.4 AEX to 7.5 PO (please mind: I'm not an admin guy but more a developer / system responsible - so take my advice with a grain of salt)
You will need to spend some time beforehand getting familiar with BPM as there's an assistant after upgrading to PO with some questions that you have a hard time answering, when not familiar with BPM.
Apart from that, we've found that entries in the module of an sender/receiver adapter (especially MessageTransformBean) were "wrongly encoded" after upgrade (at least in NWDS), so a single ' will become & a p o s ; This will then take effect, once you re-deploy the iFlow. You may want to keep that in the back of your mind
Cheers

Thank you Jens !!
Before an upgrade i'll get familiar with BPM. Please share with us, If you have more information about post steps,hints from developer or admin point of view to complete the PO upgrade successfully and it will helpful for me.
You were mentioned that sender/receiver were wrongly encoded after the upgrade and how you fixed that ?
Thank you very much !!
