Quickly delete many source systems

Over the years, our R/3 colleagues have asked us to create several source system connections to various different R/3 clients. As projects end, these source system are no longer valid and I would like to delete them in their entirety leaving one persistent client connection for testing.

The problem is that in Q, many of the object related to the source system (transfer rules, structures, etc) have development classes, so deletion requires a confirmation step to delete each transfer rule/structure. With several hundred of these, this is very time consuming.

Is there a program or function module that would allow me to delete a source system without the extra hassle but that would cleanly delete everything (not leave behind things related to IDOCs, etc that will later cause problems with other source systems).

Any help is appreciated.

It is always bets to follow the standard process. For source system deletetion, go to RSA1 -> source system, and delete system one by one confirming the otehr messages.

This way, system will be cleaned with all dependant entries. This seems bit long process, but short process sometimes leaves you behind with unused dependant entries.

    Hope this helps.

This is not the cleanest way to do but it's one 😊

BE CAREFULL: This process supposes that you will delete source system manually in all upper BI environment (test, production).

If you want to delete source system in development environment and repeat this action in test and production environments with requests, do not use this process.

Purpose: Delete the source system PNO(660) in BI quickly

Isolate the attribute of the source system in RSBASIDOC table:

The information BG (TSPREFIX) will be the suffix of all PNO660BD’s objects.

Change in mass the package of all transfer structure in SE03 (option Change Object Directory Entries):

Select transfer structure as follow and execute:

    R3TR ISTS *

    Expand all Original system:

Mark all the structures selecting package and pressing F6 (Edit/ Select-Deselect subtree):

Change the package typing =mass :

And fill the popup with package $TMP

    The package is changed:

Go to RSA1 and delete source system as before:

You still have to approve for InfoPackage but you avoid approving request popup for transfer structure.

If you also want to manage InfoPackage by this way, you could:

Go in SE16 to select all ZPAK* for your source system in table RSLDPIO.

Build out a LSMW that will change package in SE03, based on the IP list you constitute before.

In SE03, you will select IP with R3TR ISIP ipname
