Correct password not accepted while SAP client logon (SAP S/4 HANA)

Hello experts,

our next issue with SAP S/4 HANA installation: not able to logon with <SID>ADM user and password on in SAP GUI.

This is the first logon in SAP client after SWPM installation process. Error message: "Name or password is incorrect"

Questions:

Is it the right user to login straight after the SWPM installation?

Are any user enabling steps required after SWPM execution and before the logon? If yes, which?

Hello Elena,

If I got you correct, you are trying to login to newly installed SAP S/4HANA Application from SAP GUI?

If yes, then you need to login to the system with application user i.e. DDIC and the password you have provided during installation. <sid>adm is OS user

thank you, Dennis, it worked! I just wondering in which SAP documentation this user is mentioned.. was not able find anything about initial users..
