Changing date format on details popup of folder

Hi All

Our customer needs the date format to be shown in a specific way (dd-MMM-yyyy). I am able to change the date format ( Modified ) on explorer view of the directory. Any idea how to change the date format shown in the details pop up of the folder in left side ? I am able to change the format for system properties but it does not change for Left side information available for Created and Modified. Currently I am modifying the property by adding customFormat in java date format to make the changes. Hope I am able to explain the problem correctly.
