We have a business scenario in which we have distributors/reseller who sell our product. These are independant entities and are not a part of our organisation.
The product when it is dispatched to these resellers is sent with an invoice (raised in R/3) on the reseller. The reseller then sells it to the end customer and manages it (provides maintenance services). We were evaluating channel management for the channel sales / service scenarios. However the concept of sales first happening to the distributor and then to the customer is not a scenario that I am seeing in CRM.
