Hi,

I build a query in BW Query Designer contains a number of key figures and characteristics, for one of these characteristics(Plant) the hierarchy setting is enabled to show the data as a hierarchy. Furthermore, also the setting to make the query available for ODara is enabled. Within transaction /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE this query is available as OData service and enabled. The system used is SAP BW 7.4.

When looking at the different parameters that can be used to read the data of the query within OData (https://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw74/helpdata/en/c9/384c774bcc4837b84bee3679520fb4/content.htm ), no specific parameters are available for hierarchies. Furthermore, looking at the parameter to fetch the results of the query (../QuerynameResults), the characteristic plant is not displayed hierarchically but simply as a list. After searching online it is unclear if BW 7.4 supports hierarchies for OData and if this is the case, which parameters should be used.

Is there anyone who was able to get the data hierarchically? What settings need to be made to achieve this? Which parameter(s) should be used in OData to fetch the hierarchical data from my query? If this is not supported are there perhaps any workarounds that can be used to have the information hierarchically in OData?

Thank you for your help!

Kind Regards,

Sarah
