How can use encrypted attribute as search condition?

xxx-items.xml is like below :

             <attribute qualifier="abc" type="java.lang.String" >
                 <description>description</description>
                 <modifiers read="true" write="true" encrypted="true" />
                 <persistence type="property" />
             </attribute>

Then I'd like to use the attribute in backoffice as search condition like below :

     <context component="advanced-search">
         <advanced-search:advanced-search>
             <advanced-search:field-list>
                 <advanced-search:field name="abc" selected="true"/>
             </advanced-search:field-list>
         </advanced-search:advanced-search>
     </context>

However it's not working well. Do you have any idea for this work?
