Is there any tag to provide in backoffice-config.xml as defaultreference layout in HMC.xml?

I have

         <itemlayout>
             <attribute name="name"/>
         </itemlayout>
     </defaultreference>

in HMC.xml can somebody replicate this to provide in backoffice-config.xml to give a default reference of an item type under editor tab
