SmartEdit Personalization - Combined View Configuration not popping up

Per the article "Personalization - Combined View", if I click "Configure" in SmartEdit while on Personalization Mode, a new window should pop up.

In my case in doesn't. The current Page is just refreshed in a "preview" fashion.

I don't see any kind of error either in tomcat console logs or browser console, and no "4xx" responses.
I can edit target groups in Customization Library.
I have the same issue on two difference SAP Commerce instances, one on 1808 and the other on 1811.

Any idea of what I may be missing?

This looks like you are clicking the "toogle" on the right side fo "configure". Try clicking "configure" itself.

"configure" will open popup where you can configure what to display in combine view. "toogle" wit turn preview of selected configuration on/off and refresh the page

I was indeed clicking the toggle instead of the "configure" link.
For some reason I never guessed that it was clickable and assumed it was a mere label suggesting "drag 'View' to configure". Actually I am blunting a little bit 🙂
