CMSComponent context/model shared among multiple instances

Hi everyone we're currently experiencing a strange situation on a Commerce 1808 with some custom CMSComponent we developed. We had the need to use multiple instances of the same component on the same page, and this led us to understand that the Model is shared among all instances and not component-bound.

As an example: if the first instance uses

 model.addAttribute("uid", component.getUid())

the model attribute uid will be overwritten by any other instance of the same component.

Is this supposed to happen? As far as I can remember, we never had such issues in the past. Maybe using a CMSComponentRenderer in place of a CMSComponentController will fix this thing?

thanks nicola
