OpenID Connect for SAP Hybris Commerce

We are using SAP Hybris Commerce 6.6. We would like to integrate our Hybris site with an OpenID Connect identity provider and allow them to log in via that provider (ie Facebook, Google). Is this possible in Hybris?

Yes. with version 6.6 OPEN ID was introduced in SAP Commerce. You may take a look at https://help.hybris.com/6.6.0/hcd/b68a2438783b4bd09355a1c5434e3e92.html . Also OpenId Connect is an identity layer based on the OAuth 2.0 authorization framework.

This is to have Commerce act as an OpenId Connect Identity Provider while I think the request was the other way around (Hybris logging in users through a 3rd party provider). AFAIK, only SAML is provided OOTB, while OpenID Connect must be leveraged through Spring Security libs.

If someone knows if there is an answer to this i would very much appreciate it. I am looking for a way to integrate a third party OpenId provier (Azure AD b2c tenant) to hybris.

Is there any extension already available for this?

@Kai Pfrötschner Did you find any breakthrough in this. We are pursuing a similar approach OpenId ( AD B2C - hybris) and looking for a place to start.

I had success with SAML ( AD B2C - hybris) , looking for something on OpenId
