CMScockpit online content catalog not populating on a synchronization

When I select the Content Catalog / Staged for my web site in the cmscockpit live edit. I get a page appear in the live edit browser.

I have run a synchronization from the content catalog staged in the HMC to the online version.

When I select the Content Catalog / Online I get the following error appear in the live edit browser.

HTTP Status 500 - Request processing failed; nested exception is de.hybris.platform.cms2.exceptions.CMSItemNotFoundException: No page with id [homepage] found.
