What is commerce cloud 1808?

The latest version of hybris is called Commerce Cloud 1808. https://help.hybris.com/1808/hcd/8c39dca2866910148073b1b86eeec916.html

So I've find out that 1808 is the new release name format of SAP. I guess it actually means it's version 6.8.

For me Commerce Cloud refers to something o the cloud like Yaas. If I read the doc about recipes, for example, I see that it's the same thing as hybris Commerce 6.7.

Does Commerce Cloud will be the new name of hybris Commerce (even if it's not on the cloud)?
