where is my cms content located at Commerce Cloud Solution?

Hi Experts,

this is probably a real beginner question, but still important to us: we use SmartEdit as part of Commerce Cloud.

Where is the content physically stored, which is published as a CMS page? Are the content pages located in the Commerce Cloud? Or ist it possible to transfer the content from the cloud to an external web server?

Helpful would be a technical chart or any kind of technical documentation.
