hwo to combine two records in one backoffice configure screen?

Hi All expert,

I have a requirement to create backoffice extension which could offer a UI which include two records' configuration. Those two records from same item type with different key.

Would it be possible?

As i know backoffice UI, always start from a search? in this case what would be the search screen and result? Seems search the item type and display two records is not so user friendly. any better idea?
