What's the difference between UserModel and CustomerModel, aren't they referring to same individual?..If so, what's the need of two models referring to same individual

The hierarchy here is :
Principal -> User -> Customer.
Both employee and customer types are extended from user type.
The customer type has an extra attribute i.e. customerID, which makes it different from the employee.
This mainly serves as an example how the customer type can be extended with new attributes to better reflect your business approach for collecting, using, and storing customer data.
This is designed to be used for customers who visit your front end application.
And also customers are not allowed to manage SAP Hybris Commerce.
