checking r/3 report &bw report

Hi Experts,

I want to tally the data from r/3 report to bw report from 20th to 27th of march.

i want check only 3 fields in a particular site.

fiels are quantity,net value,cost.

But total value of quantity in r/3 5133

" " bw 565

&total netvalue in r/3 2268995

" " bw 259377

simillarly for cost also there is lot of variations

How to check and where might b the mistake could any expert suggest me.

Hi Diya,

check the variable u have use is R/3 report,

and then in BW report weather both are same or not

analyse the R/3 query is their any restriction or some addiction for that u need to check ABAP code for R/3 report.If both R/3 and BW condition are same then their

should not be any diff and both query resutl should be same.

Hi,

Checked the variable in r/3 and bw . it is same

and condition is also same in r/3 and bw.

I have checked for 8th date. the data for all the 3 fields is same in r/3 and bw.

Then what might be the problem now.

how and where to check? pls give me the suggestion.

Thanks for your reply.

Before the variable was different.

Now i made both of the variables are same

even then there is difference in r/3 and bw.

net value in r/3 is 100971

" bw 105259

quantity in r/3 is 250

" bw 234

but cost in r/3 52725

" bw 52725

2 fields are differing.. and 1 field(cost) is tallying.

can you pls tell me why there is changes in other two fields.and where to check

Hi Diya,

their must be some difference in condition of both this reports,as u already checked its same,what i suggest to check it once again,if its again same,then check the data in Datatarget(Cube/ODS)compare it with R/3 data and BW report data,if its same as of R/3 then problme is with BW report and if its not same as of R/3 and same as of BW report then this is problme in Data extraction.Bw report will only display data wich is avilable in Datatargets,as ur two feild are not matching just check the conditon in R/3 for Net Value and Quantity.Also check other Key feild in BW which is relavent to net value and quantity they might be having correct value.

Also please check if the latest loads are done to BW or not? (or) are there any failed requests to BW..

I think that since your R/3 & BW reports are not matching first do a data reconciliation to check whether the data being extracted into BW is OK.
