Dear ,
In hac Flexible search you can use to_date('01/01/2001', 'DD/MM/YYYY') like in:
SELECT * FROM {Product} WHERE {modifiedtime} > to_date('01/01/2016','DD/MM/YYYY')
In code you can just pass date as parameter to flexible search query.

SELECT {pk} FROM {TypeName} WHERE {attributeName} ='2017-11-16 00:00:00'
OR
SELECT {pk} FROM {TypeName} WHERE CAST({attributeName} as DATE) ='2017-11-16'
