Promotions : how to find published or inactive promotions (6.5)?

Dear expert group,

Promotion rules in 6.5 can be found in Back Office, under Marketing > Promotion Rules. And there you have 2 sub-menus:

• "Show Published and Unpublished"

• "Show All"

I have the following questions:

• how do i search for all promotion rules which are "Published" or "Unpublished" or "Archived", after i go in the "Show Published and Unpublished" ? i.e. How do i search by "Status"?

• what is the meaning of the attributes in Promotion Rule > Administration tab?

• what is the difference between the 2 sub-menus? When i click on one or the other, the result seems to be the different, but i why?

• why the action to enable a promotion rule is called "Publishing", and the action to disable it is called "Un-deployment", instead of "De-publishing" or similar?

I could not find a document explaining the above, so any help is welcome.
