Delta Detection for child objects

Hi,

We're looking to sync product catalogs between two hybris systems and would like to understand if delta detection module can detect changes to the child objects of an item type.
For e.g. there is a product which has a media object associated to it. If the business user goes and updates the actual file associated to the Media object, then the modified date of the Media object will change, not that of the Product.

Will Delta Detection be able to identify that the product has undergone a change and should be included in the next ChangeDetectionJob run?
