Redeclare attribute in original Item type

Hi,

We have a requirement to redeclare some of the attributes of CustomerModel such as first name, last name , email to be encrypted. Can we do it on original Item type without defining a subtype otherwise we will have to change the model type at all places in the code.

re-declaring an attribute is only possible on a sub-type, alternatively you could go down the ant customize route
