Datahub Composition process is getting Stuck

The Data hub process is getting stuck at Composition stage frequently. In the Composition action table i find a record is in IN_PROGRESS and the remaining records following that are in PENDING state. Also the publication action is not performed as it gets no data. Why the Composition process is getting stuck?
