Deployment table for subtype of Product

Hi, I have read the implications of giving a deployment table for subtype of subtypes of GenericItem performance wise.

But if I'm specifying a new itemtype (e.g MyType) which extends Product and has a deployment table, would it still harm performance if my queries would never involve Product and MyType together?
