Are you successfully using the tenant.activateSlaveDataSource() for using the read-only slave?

Any problems getting it working?

Hi David, no problems. it works. I think the challenge with this configuration would be more in your operations team, because monitoring and configuration (scaling/resource allocation) of the database-layer seams not that easy with this configuration.
