Is hybris 5.4 compatible with java 1.8

Hi All,

Currently we are running hybris 5.4.0 on Java 1.7 but due to discontinued security support we need migrate the Java version to 1.8.

We aren't using Data Hub, Would there be any issues with this migration to Java 8.

Thanks & Regards, .

Hi

In hybris wiki document it says hybris 5.4 support java 7.

You could find the original link here : Third-Party Compatibility - Release 5.4

and you could find the info for other versions on the left panel.

Actually java is compatible with higher version, which I mean 5.4 should compatible with Java 8. But I will still suggest you to use Java 7.

Thanks Yan

If I recall Java 8 support only starts with version 5.5 (or 5.5.1). You might be able to make it work with 5.4 but I think there is an issue with a Spring jar. In any case if you want a fully supported version, better to upgrade to hybris 5.5, but that may also be a challenge.
