Hybris DAta Hub Architecture

Hello experts, I am brand new to hybris data hub and I have several questions.

• Data Hub installation is separated from ecommerce solution or they come together? Where can I find installation guides for Data Hub and if there are architecture examples, for instance: same machine for ecommerce and datahub, separate machines,....

• Does datahub have a system to manage sources? How does it manage different source versions?

• Does we need 3 datahub systems: DEvelepment, Quality and Production?

• Does Datahub have a database o it uses ecommerce database?

• How much cost has (time, effort) a change on an idoc or in ecommerce master data tables, in Data Hub?

• Where can i find technical documentation for integration Dathub with SAP PI/PO?

• Data Hub packages are provided in the package of Hybris Commerce Suite. You can install it embedded with Hybris or standalone instance. You can find the installation guide in Hybris website, they provide detailed steps, you should be able to see it from the menu: "Integrations and Data Management" -> Master Data Management -> Data Hub

What kind of sources you are talking about? In Hybris, it provides the deployable package of Data Hub and also some JARs OOTB for data processing in Data Hub. You can find them in Hybris package: bin/ext-integration/datahub or Hybris Wiki (refer to the installation guide of Data Hub in Hybris Wiki)

I think this depends on your project 🙂

Data Hub has its own DB, default is also using hsql, but you can also use a standalone DB for it. The DB schema for DataHub is called "integration" which is different from Hybris, but they can be in the same DB server. And I think it's better to separate their DB schemas

How much cost has (time, effort) a change on an idoc or in ecommerce master data tables, in Data Hub? Where can i find technical documentation for integration Dathub with SAP PI/PO?

I'm not quite sure about these two, but I think you can refer to Hybris Wiki and work it out.
