Hybris site is working extremely slow in local and production Env?

Hi Experts, My hybris site is working very slow(ldisplaying search,changing tab from one to other,loading of popups etc) in local as well as in production environment.Can anyone please throw some light like what could be the possible reasons of the extreme slow behaviour of the site?
