HMC not accessible from Hybris 6.1.0.1

Hi everyone we know HMC is in the process of getting deprecated and removed, but we are experiencing quite a strange issue trying to access it after an upgrade from 6.0.0.1 to 6.1.0.1.

Each request to http://localhost:9001/hmc/hybris is redirected to port 80, as in http://localhost/hmc/hybris. It seems like something is off in the spring-security or tomcat contexts.

I confirm HMC works as expected in 6.1.0.1, access is from a different URL (mind the httpS and port, no automatic redirect anymore from http to httpS and from 9001 to 9002)

https://localhost:9002/hmc/hybris

really? okay, because I just finished the Hybris training and the trainer said the HMC is not available in V6.1. Maybe the developer have changed their mind. Thanks!

Hello Chenghao,

You may have to include the hmc into the localextension.xml from 6.1 onwards. It wouldnt be included by default like before.

Hi Nicola

Hybris still support hmc, but at the same time hybris also suggest you to work with backoffice.

The last version of SAP Hybris Commerce containing the Hybris Management Console (HMC) will be released with the Q4 2017 release.

All HMC-related extensions will be removed from the Hybris distribution ZIP file with the Q1 2018 release. The last release containing the Hybris Management Console (Q4 2017) will be supported for 24 months.

Thanks Yan

thanks for pointing that out. Could you accept my answer so that it's highlighted? I presume many (MANY) long-time users will find it useful.
