Active Directory - EP Integration Group creation

Hello all,

We have integrated active directory as a user data source for portal.We have also done the SSL.

Now we can see the user and groups that are available in portal.But only 1200 users are getting displayed and we are not able to create groups, it gives the follwing error.

Could not create group because adapter is configured as read-only .

What could be the problem.
