Active Directory - EP Integration Group creation

Hello all,

We have integrated active directory as a user data source for portal.We have also done the SSL.

Now we can see the user and groups that are available in portal.But only 1200 users are getting displayed and we are not able to create groups, it gives the follwing error.

Could not create group because adapter is configured as read-only .

What could be the problem.

Mittal,

Check in your ADS configuration not in Portal configuration for ADS. To reduce response time for a search, ADS does keep a upper limit on search result for users.

Our AD contains 5000 users but it shows only 1200 users and the LDAP parameter is set to Zero (0) means all.

Hi Mittal,

maybe the technical user you are using to connect to ADS has no write permissions. Most of the companies I know, do not allow third party software (as EP6) to write to their ADS.

If you cannot see more users, check your root node. Theres also an ADS Parameter, how many results an LDAP search query is allowed to return. Maybe its limited to 1200.

Hi,

Have you configured your UME data source to be read-only (check e.g. via Config Tool)? If so, you naturally cannot create groups form inside the portal or UME admin console as they will be stroed in ADS. Also, if not all users are displayed, check if you have selected the correct root DN for your users.
