Adding local language to Hybris storefront apart from the default language already available in the language table.

Hi Experts, We have currently a requirement where we need to add 14 Indian language to a storefront.These language are not available in the language table of Hybris. Can anybody guide me on this solution?

Hi Hena, you stdding the specific languages to the system, ideally by using the isocode standard of the languages. In addition, you need to assign the language to the storefront by linking them to the BaseStore. The different base store languages (if more then 1) are typically exposed in a CMS component so that user can choose the language if the standard language (user.sessionLanguage) doesn't fit.

Obviously if you add languages, you also need content for those language. This requires data for your items (i.e. product data, CMS components, etc.) as well as adding property files for site labels. You can leverage the so-called fallback languages in case not every detail needs to be translated.
