In cmscockpit, for attribute of type list, once value is selected, there is no option to clear the selected one. I can replace it with another value from the list but it never gives an option totally clear the selected value and leave it empty.
I have found the solution. In order to remove an existing reference you have to remove current selection and press Enter. Maybe it is not intuitive but this should work.
