cart merging issue

logged user: Prerequisite - Customer account with item below free gift threshold (less than $500). Registered user has only product in the cart. 1) As an anonymous user add an item to basket above free gift threshold (greater than $500) Anonymous cart has one normal product and one free gift since order threshold free gift promotion has been triggered.

2) Sign in to customer account with item below free gift threshold and merge baskets.

Items merged succesfully but product was added as a gift in anonymous cart has been again added to registered cart with price.

We are also facing the same issue, could you please let us know whether it's fixed or not? i am blocking by this last couple weeks! please help on this

Hello,
Did you mean after the anonymous user login with a customer account, another free gift product got added (2 same free gifts) ?
BTW which version of hybris platform are you using?
