commerce marketing oob integration

Hi,

few elementary questions on commerce - marketing integration:

1/ Product Recommendation https://wiki.hybris.com/display/release5/SAP+hybris+Marketing+Recommendation

The solution somehow assumes products in Marketing. What is the expected integration pattern? Do we need to explicitly import products from ERP / Commerce? Or does it implicitly get the products from click streams?

2/ marketing Conversion = SeeWhy

Is there an OOB HTML snippet sending information about carts from commerce to marketing?

3/ clickstream data feed from commerce in general.

Is there really anything OOB, including product recommendation (customers who saw X saw also Y), segmentation (customers landed on a discount offer page)?

    Hi Tomas,

    In respect to question #1 and #3. As you mentioned, in order for the algorithms to provide recommendations the products must exist in hybris Marketing. The products can be loaded from any system and not only ERP or Commerce. They're uploaded as products and then the clickstreams (or interactions as referred to hybris Marketing) can be used to do segmentation or for recommendation success tracking (click-through rate). Some OOB algorithms can do the following :

    • customers who looked at "x" also looked at "y"

    • customers who bought "x" also bought "y"

    The action such as "looked" is an interaction type and there's many more defined in hybris Marketing. The recommender system can leverage all those types and do an association analysis. The recommender system is flexible and customers can also create their own algorithms and use any data source. Such as clickstream data as you referred to from a 3rd party or push to hybris Marketing business events with the hybris Analytics AddOn with the usage of ESP.

    On 2. The former SeeWhy service Conversion Manager is now known as SAP hybris Convert, though name is not finalised as of 14-Oct-2015. This has a pre-packaged add-on for hybris 5.2+ that captures various information incl. cart contents and sends that to the Convert service allowing remarketing campaigns for cnd browse abandoners. There is also an integration from Convert to yMarketing that sends abandoned cart contents. But, the detail and context is all important. Please contact me with any specific scenario so we can discuss in more detail.

      Thanks Nigel for the explanation. I was helping with a pre-sales activity and the Conversion Manager was a part of the offer. I wanted to understand how much is out of box and what needs to be customized. The discussions are still on high level to discuss any specific scenarios.
