Disable one variable, having to enter value to another variable

I have a web template having 2 queries. Both the Queris have varibles.

In Query1(built from Infoset)the variable populating is 'MPM Title'.

In Query2(built from Multi Provider)the variable populating is 'Top title'.

Both variables have same values except thei technical names since they have been derived from different infoproviders.

The users always enter the same value in both the variables but now they want to avoid one variable 'top title'so only MPM Title should populate always in variable screen.

Overall what I mean is the MPM Title variable value should be feeded to Top title variable and this Top Title should not apper on the screen.

Thanks in ADV

Hi Sreenivas,

What InfoObjects are these two variables based on?

Sreenivas,

This can be done by user exit. In the query designer one variable should remain as is. The second variable should be processed via customer exit.

In the customer exit, you can then read what value has been entered by the user (cant remember if its i_step 2 or 3) and assign that value to the variable being processed by the user exit.

pts if that helps you.

Sreenivas ,

I assume that both variables are for the same characteristic ...?

Use the same variable across queries and avoid using the second variable. Then you will have only one entry possiblity...
