SMTP Setting for gmail configuration

Hi Experts,

       I want to place an order and notify the user about the order placement .

i used the below configuration in my config/local.properties file but failed to get the mail when order is placed. can any one suggest me the process from beginning.

mail.from=emailID@gmail.com mail.replyto=emailID@gmail.com mail.smtp.server=smtp.googlemail.com mail.smtp.port=587 mail.smtp.auth=true mail.smtp.debug=true mail.smtp.user=emailID@gmail.com mail.smtp.password=password mail.use.tls=true mail.smtp.starttls.enable=true

Hi Shaik,

Can you try activating "https://www.google.com/settings/security/lesssecureapps" for the gmail account which you are using?

I hope you could see messages that it is trying to send the email but you didnt receive in your inbox. Please do let me know whether by enabling the above works for you.

Hi,

Can you navigate to hmc->Advanced Configuration-> Cronjobs->Test Mail Configuration. Give your email and send test email to check what is the exact issue. Please do let me know on this. I will try to help solve your issue.
