Hybris 5.5.1 Cluster setup

We want to setup Hybris 5.5.1 cluster on RHEL 6.x (64 bit).

a. Can we set up Hybirs cluster on RHEL 6.x VM’s? b. For configuring hybris cluster do we have to install the hybris 5.5.1 on multiple VM’s and configure using instructions in the below link? https://wiki.hybris.com/display/release5/Configuring+a+hybris+Cluster?src=search c. Will all the hybris nodes be active at any time? Or only one of the nodes is active at a given time?

Hi,
a) Yes you can set up Hybris cluster on RHEL, no problem there.
b) You can install on different VM, as far as they are on the same network, or you can create multiple instances on one server, you need to change the tomcat ports.
For production environment the former solution is the only way to go.
c) Yes all the hybris nodes will be active at any time and communicating. To manage clients requests add a load-balancer i front of the Hybris VMs.
