WCMS - can I edit HTML view of the page?

Hi,

Sorry for silly question but I'm pretty new with Hybris.

Is there any way to edit HTML content for a particular page (i.e. product page). I'm trying to inject Javascript just after .

This is something which has to be done by business users...

Many thanks for your help, Michal.

    Hi Michal

Hybris provides you the flexibility to associate this JSP view at the below mentioned levels:

    1. Template level - A page template provides a layout which gets associated with every page which includes the template. You can specify the template JSP in the 'frontEndTemplate' attribute of the 'PageTemplate' item.

    2. Page level - A WCMS page is a logical entity in hybris. So, in the backend, to support the view of the page, we have JSPs bound to it. You can define your controller for the page and can have a JSP view for the page.

    3. Component level - Similar to what happens for a page, you can specify your own controllers at component level (which are either associated with the page or the template) and can have your own jsps to impement the layout of the particular section of the page (where the component gets rendered).

Hybris provides tag files for inclusion of stylesheets and javascripts.

As per the documentation, " Out of the box all JSPs derive from the page.tag and master.tag files, get their style sheets from the styleSheets.tag tag file and get their scripts from the javaScript.tag file. There is no use of JSP includes."

You can further study the OOB implementation here

Lastly, there is nothing to sorry about your question as inquisitivity is never silly. :)

I'm not asking about implementation and technical guide. My question is rather simple: Can I edit HTML content of a page using WCMS. This is pretty standard feature of CMS therefore I would like to understand if Hybris offers such as capabilities.

    Thanks, Michal.

The default fckeditor in wcms strips javascript. So no, out of the box you can't add javascript. I have this problem at the moment. Trying to figure out how to add a little javascript tag to a component in WCMS.

This might be due to the xss filters. try disabling the xss filter for just the wcms component. https://wiki.hybris.com/display/release5/Web+Security+XSS+Filter
