Backoffice view disappearing in Hybris

We have 2 servers running the same version of a hybris build on the same database. Every time we make a clean build and update the “Backoffice” view disappears. If we switch on the orchestration mode (F4) and perform "CockpitConfig -> Set to Defaults" then the backoffice view reappears. Can you please comment why does this happen?

We are using Hybris 5.4

Observation:- Performing updatesystem from both the systems - might clear the timestamp of the hmc configuration from the Database and create a new hmc configuration every time. - might recreate the Lucenesearch indexes again

Could this be a reason for the problem? Comments are welcome

Note: We had never run both the build on both the servers parallelly.

Why are your performing the updatesystem twice? That should not be neccessary.

Our DEV team beleives that an update is necessary after every build from both the servers. Can you throw some light on what are the implications of doing an update twice?

Hi,
In general, running update system on both servers is at least redundant operation, it doesn't give you any benefit.
