I am just wondering why JSP compilation is turned off by default in many cockpits, like CMS cockpit, CS cockpit, Print cockpit? But it is turned on in HMC...
Would it be better to have it on everywhere so cockpits perform faster?
In Hybris all cockpits are built based on cockpit framework in Hybris. The cockpit framework is based on ZK. They don't use jsps for the frontend. So its not required to compile jsps in cockpit extensions as there is no jsps at all. For more details on the same please refer to https://wiki.hybris.com/display/release5/Cockpit+Framework+Overview
