categoriesTree Widget

Hi,

Can anyone please explain me 'how data gets loaded in categoriesTree'. Is it coming from Solar??? Is there any specific configuration for categoriesTree ?

I created few categories inside catalog. But I don't see the categories populated in the backoffice.
