You should just keep every hybris webextension on a dedicated context in tomcat and use a webserver to resolve requests to your (sub-)domains.

Having a webextension in tomcat root will also make it harder to configure access/restrictions to other contexts. It is much easier to just allow certain contexts in your webserver config than having to exclude some because you did allow access to root context.

    Hi ,

Firstly, regarding the "/" of webroot, it says in the "yacceleratorstorefront\project.properties" that:
"# If you want to remap the the context path to the root site on the web container
    # then you must set these values to be blank, do not set them to be '/'"
So, if you want to remap the context path, you may just leave the webroot as blank.

Secondly, if the 2 storefronts in one extensions, there should be only one webroot of your accelerator extension. But if you implement the 2 storefronts in separate extensions, I think there is no sense to use the same webroot.
Hopefully this could answer your question.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Hongxian

I agree with Christoph. Also, this sounds like something which should be configured on the HTTP server layer (i.e. Apache). This gives you much better control and flexibility of the URLs to end customers so you can abstract out your deployments.

This can be done by enabling virtualiztion on both HTTP server and Hybris tomcat server.
